So, just when I thought I would lose my mind to boredom and maybe be able to enjoy my first summer in 4 years with no homework or unnecessary stress I was proved wrong. My life has decided to throw its usual bag of tricks at me to make things more interesting.

So, first I discover that I have to take a chemistry placement exam at orientation on my birthday. This meaning that I had to dust off my old chemistry notes and study aides in an attempt to relearn a subject I haven't taken in two years so I can be in the best chemistry class for my major. My original plan was to sit in on Mr. Brown and Johnson's chem prep class but that fell apart for various reasons. First off, they are already two weeks into their lessons and it would be weird to just show up for two weeks of chem re-education now. Second, I checked the list of topics that will be on the test and it includes many subjects from second semester like periodic trends, pH problems, kinetic/mol;ecular theory and Le Chatlier questions. So, my new plan is to just have my brother check out the AP Chem textbook since it appears I need practice, not so much notes.

The next event in my life is that my permit expires on the 11th so I have to renew it again, but I'm finally working with my parents nightly on getting driving practice. My dad transferred to a shop near Bella Terra so he gets home at 6 PM now so he finally has time to teach me.

Finally, I can't get a job anywhere. My bank connection hasn't worked out at all. It's been two weeks since I sent in my resume and I haven't even recieved a "fuck no" from them. I don't mind not getting the job but I would at least like a confirmation that my resume was recieved or something. Also, nobody at the mall is hiring and if they are you must be 18. Unfortunately that rule applies to Cinnabon. Apparently heating cinnamon rolls, cutting them and taking money is beyond the abilities of a 17 year old. So, hopefully the job situation will resolve itself soon cuz I still need $1000 more to pay for my contribution to college, plus I'd like some extra money to actually have to do shit at UC Davis.

Other than all my troubles not too much going on. Played Rock Band with Ryley at my house before Colin's 4th o' July thing and we did well on hard and we were even able to beat Weezer's "Say It Ain't So" on expert. Freaking out about how soon orientation and college actually starting college are. Need to plan with Ryley and LP when we're gonna go to dinner cuz LP wants to treat us and that'll be one last time of awesomeness. This summer has been interesting being out of MAD. Didn't realize just how much time it really occupied, but the free afternoons has been nice. Really want to have more Hill events and if I can get enough people together I'd like to have a bonfire/beach day before Ryley leaves if there's time, but with Christany's b-day, the ComiCon meeting at Allyson's and everything else it may not be a possibility.

I'll have more next time everyone but not much has happened. Will try one last time to go back to weekly posts. Til later.

So, I'm already finding it hard to keep my third quarter resolution since I haven't posted a real entry in nearly two weeks, but I guess I get credit for trying.

So last weekend my family went to visit my clone Mark since now he's a Junior and apparently he and his dad are clueless with the whole college thing. Example: Mark is taking an AP class and doesn't know what an AP test is or what it does. Also, you know those booklets we get every year from the school? It's like a parent planning guide for what the student needs to accomplish to graduate and has general goals for college requirements. Anyway, Mark's dad has been just throwing them away. To help them my mom brought my collge box [trumpets and crepuscular rays] over. Over the past four years my mom has had a box filled with anything school or college related or anything with my name on it in a box to use for future reference. Luckily, now that high school is ending some stuff is being thrown away. Anyway, so my mom pulled out a bunch of info on CSU's and UC's in general as well as telling Mark he needs to take SAT's, another thing that they were unaware of. Also she showed them my transcript and Mark's dad believes I should write a book entitled "How To Kick Fucking Ass in High School" after looking at it. On the whole was a good trip. Played griftball with Mark on Halo 3 on Xbox live. The game is pretty much you and you team against another team, a bomb in the middle of the battle arena and you have to get the bomb to opponents start area to kill them all. Really fun and really violent...bodies flying everywhere.

This week my brother signed up for all his high school classes and my parents had me go to the Honors night for parents and students at the school. Of course no new or important info was revealed but I think my brother got something out of it. He's taking almost my exact course load except he's doing art instead of Honors World Geo with crazy ass Mr. Ziemann. Oh well, Kenny's loss. Also I'm very concerned he may fail the algebra 1 exam due to what kinds of questions I get from him nightly now.

Found out I have to go to Davis for orientation over my birthday. Not that big a deal but taking placement exams isn't exactly how I wanted to spend that day. So since my mom has never seen the campus and since my parents are taking time off work to drive me up there they've decided to turn the week into a family vacation in San Francisco. Could be fun but I just can't see how much fun one can have in San Francisco for a week. As usually my mom is extremely depressed it will be the last "family vacation". I just don't get why she acts like I'm gonna be dead when September comes, but I guess it's just some weird parent attachment issue or something. Really can't wait for May to come and go. All AP done forever and just a month of relatively easy school til graduation, unless every teacher decides to give us some senior end of the year project which I wouldn't put past them.

Finally, something I've been keeping private all week. Recently my grandpa who lives next door to me has been very pale, breathing with extreme difficulty and not sleeping since his heart problems started really affecting him lately. Found out on Tuesday he fell down getting dressed and got winded walking down the hall to the bathroom. The worst part was that he was refusing to go to the hospital and when he did on Tuesday he left against medical advice. So, I've been a bit edgey and elsewhere mentally this week since I've been afraid something bad would happen with him. Luckily he went to the hospital last night, is on oxygen and actually slept for a while. Hoping everything goes well.

Aside from lesbionic undertones in Hume's class I got nothing else. See you next time your lives get boring enough for you to curious about mine. Later!  Oh yeah and Teamdattebayo has a decent version of death note abridged. Watch it if you get the chance.
